TOPIC: [SOLVED] FaqSlider Error rendering JUMI Code in Tabs

[SOLVED] FaqSlider Error rendering JUMI Code in Tabs 1 year, 9 months ago #722

Hi There!

Until Now, I was using the 0.74 version of FaqSlider in at least three sites. I have used in these sites the sliders and tabs, both, without any problem.

The content of articles I have been using displayed in tabs was normal joomla articles (With HTML text), and JUMI articles too. I suppose that you know JUMI, it's a wonderfull component that allows to newbie php developers like me, to insert their poor scripts inside an article in joomla. The JUMI component use a syntax like this: {jumi [*5]} that allows to insert, in this case, the Article with the ID number 5 wherever you want. I my case I'm using JUMI articles all around my sites, and I repeat wiihout problems until now, after start using AceSef for the SEO.

Actually, as all was working OK until I started using AceSef, my first post to claim for the error I'm receiving now was written in the forum of AceSef. But unfortunately, after some checkings, I've discovered that the problem was FaqSliders instead of AceSef.

Well... The problem when I turn to ON the Seo Url in my joomla sites is, that when I try to get pages with Tabs created with faslider I receive a 500 error, and it's funny and strange, but I receive this error only if I'm logged In. If I'm not logged all works as expected.

So, I started to see in your forum what happened, and of course what was new in the application. I'm very happy to see that you have improved the plugin, because, it's a very good plugin, and I have no found other options in Joomla better than faqslider to do the same, in addition Faqslider is extremely easy to use.

After uninstall the previous version faqslider, and install the new version, the problem was partially solved, which confirmed that the problem wasn't AceSeff but FaqSlider, or at least is what I think.

The problem was only partially solved because now, all my JUMI codes inside articles are not rendered at all, and instead of show the code working, only show the syntax: {jumi [*16]} in plain text.

As I told you, I'm using JUMI codes a lot of in all my sites. I don't have idea at the moment to program a native application for joomla, so JUMI component is the only solution for me, in the same way that your FaqSlider plugin is, at this moment, the only solution for me to show articles inside tabs.

SO, ¿Any idea about why now JUMI Codes inside articles are not rendered as before?

¿Is needed to write some code that allows FaqSliders render JUMI codes, or plug-ins codes inside the articles inserted in Tabs?

Ooops! By the way, the effect is the same If I use sliders instead of tabs, OK?

I hope you can tell me something positive because I'm very happy using your plug-in, it's the best!!

Thanks in advance!!

Hi

First of all check that you have saved the plugin parameters again since upgrading - there are a lot of changes. You must also look at the options carefully and make sure that "Process Content Plugins" is active.

You may in some situations need to change the ordering of the plugins in the backend to make sure that FAQ Slider is the first content plugin in the list. This should not be the case in your situation.

To insert articles or modules you don't need to use Jumi (although Jumi is very useful). If you want to use FAQ Slider you can simply use {faq art/insert}article title or id{/faq} and {faq mod/insert}module title or id{/faq} for modules. This gives you a little more flexibility.

Heeeey! You're the one!

As you told me the problem was the "Content Process Plugins" Button that was inactive.

Definiteley was to late in the night when I install the new version of FaqSlider... LOL!

I actually change the parameters section of the plug-is, in fact, I made some screen shots of the parameters of previous versions, just in case I need to return to this version again, and I remember putting all in the same state.

As I see, you have introduced a huge number of options in the new version, and definitely I didn't see this parameter, that by the way, is one of the first parameters in the list. I'm a disaster!! LOL

I'm so sorry!

Thanks for this plug-in man. As I said is easy and powerfull, and now is more powerfull yet.

Congratulations!
