This is most likely to be a css problem. The tab width is inherited from the page. There may be a way of forcing it but this would take a bit of work on the javascript which I can't do at the moment I'm afraid. It's not built in to Joomla's implementation of mootools tabs.

It is easiest to help if you provide a link to a live site...

I could solve the problem with firebug and CSS. Now I want to center the titles.

God I hate it when people don't post the solution to their problems.

Had the same one and solved it by altering

div.faqslider div.current {clear:both;border:1px solid #ccc;padding:10px 10px;}

to

div.faqslider div.current {clear:both;border:1px solid #ccc;padding:10px 10px;width:500px;}

in faqslider.css
