[FIXED 0.7.1] Addkeywords Questions/Problems 2 years ago #34

I'm using Addkeywords V RC 4.2, and I have run into a couple of problems that I am hoping someone can help me with:

1) I'm using iJoomla News Portal. At the ends of the intro of each article, it displays the tags. Is there any way to get it to not display the tags in this situation? For an example, please go to www.solarnovus.com. Page down and look at the article summaries under the "Latest Stories" section on the home page. You'll see some of the articles have tags listed at the end of the summaries. Whether or not it shows the tags seems to depend on where in the article the "read More" divider is placed.

2) I might like to just show the "Related Articles" at the end of each article, without displaying the tags. But when I change "Display As Tags" to No, it no longer displays Related Articles, even though "Show a related items module" is set to yes. Can you display related items without displaying the tags?

I really like this plug, and hope to use it on this site. I hope someone can assist me in resolving these problems.

Thanks!!

Ron

Hi, thanks for posting.

Unfortunately I can't see any extraneous tag lists appearing on your site. I'm hoping this is because you noticed the Show on Frontpage and Show on Blog options and they sorted the problem. If not, get back to me. It may be that iJoomla uses a different name for its layouts which I would need to add an override for.

I can confirm the bug with the display of the related items when tag list is turned off. I'm not sure how that one slipped through! I'll get a fix out later today.

What are you using to import articles or are they all manually entered?

It's hard to see the keywords unless you're used to looking at the site. I took a screenshot of the home page, and added arrows pointing to them. It's in the attached PDF file. If I can assist in debugging the iJoomla problem, I'm happy to help in any way I can.

I'm copying and pasting the articles manually, using JCE as the editor.

Thanks again for your help, and for your efforts with this plugin!

Ron

I forgot to add, I do have Show On Frontpage and Show On Blog set to No.

Hi Ron

The pdf didn't come through I'm afraid. Try emailing it maybe?

Released AK 0.7 stable. This will fix some of your problems. However, I'd need to know the names of the views that iJoomla produces to sort your other problem. Have you any code experience or can I have access to your install?
